Did you know you can switch mobile provider by just sending a text?
From 1st July the regulator Ofcom have introduced changes to the way people can switch, making it easier and simpler.
Have you ever dreaded that phone call to cancel your contract and request your PAC (porting authorisation code)? Having to explain why you are moving, who your new provider is going to be and to then still be offered the chance to see if your current provider can ‘beat’ the deal you have found.
We are pleased to inform you that you no longer have to go through this process and a simple text message can see you activate a switch and request a PAC code.
How do I switch network provider via text?
If you are wanting to switch provider but keep your existing number you can simply text the word ‘PAC’ to 65075
You will then receive a text message which outlines that the PAC is valid for 30 days and the estimated final bill for pay monthly users or credit for those on PAYG.
Will I be charged for this service?
No. The text messaging service is free.
What do I do if I want to cancel my current contract and start a new one?
If you would like to cancel your current contract but not switch, you can do so by requesting a ‘STAC’ (Services Termination Authorisation Code) by texting ‘STAC’ to 75075. Once cancelled you are free to open a new account with a new number.
